I'm a Brain surgeon

Hi guys and gals. Today for our new discovery activity we got to choose between Maths or The Brain, I chose the brain. In our second session we had to write down all the parts of the brain and their functions. Here are two fun facts. You actually see everything upside down but the occiptal lobe flips them the right side up. The right half of your brain controls the left side  of your body and vice versa. 



Also today is Katie's last day at Enrich@ILT so we have a new teacher called Ginny.

Its a goal!!

And its a goallll!!!!! Hi guys and by a goal I mean a learning goal and for this term my goals are to get my passion project done and not to get distracted.   P.S Our website has been deleted so we had to put our info on a keynote.

Under Pressure

Hi guys the pressure is really on at Enrich@ILT. 
Everyone's rushing to get their discovery finished because we are presenting them next week ARRGHH. 
Good thing I only have a little bit to do, which is my Immigration stuff. Then all I have to do is practice, practice, practice.

The GarageBand

A 1, a 2, a 1,2,3,4. Hi guys. Today I joined a band, the GarageBand. Well  I didn't join an actual band. I joined the GarageBand app. It is an app were you can make your own songs and movie trailers. Over the past three weeks I have made one song and a movie trailer audio for the movie "Up". I have one more session left and I can't wait to see what Paul has in store for us.

Concentric circles of doom

Your probably wondering what concentric circles are! Well they are a very time consuming piece of art that looks easy but are hard, really hard. Concentric circles were invented by Kandinsky a Russian artist who used music to get colours for his art.  We had a go at making them, we got four squares finished: Here are a few that are a bit better than mine. Ok a lot better. Bye

Art and passion time

Hello all! Today I started colouring in my Piassco portrait of Thomas. Thomas started colouring mine two but he got a little to spot happy so now I look like a rainbow with the chicken poxs. I'm sorry if anyone has been trying to get on to the website and its says "website has been terminated".  At the moment it is working so you can go on it. The website usually stops working four days after I login. So you have four days from now.

I'm an Artist

Hello hello everyone.  Today on sale is a Picasso style Portrait of his friend Thomas by Kyle. Lets start the biding at say ten thousand dollars.

 Hey guys. Wow I really wish that my picture was actually worth that, but sadly at the most it would only be worth $5. The style of Picasso we did was a portrait of a person's face. But you actually draw half his face facing front on then the other half side on.

 Once you've done that you can draw the eyebrows, lips and eyes. Next you make a figure eight across the picture and a rectangle in the middle. Then you go over all the lines in vivid and rub out all the pencil lines. Lastly you colour it in. Here's mine without colour.

Ahhhhh! I'm so stressed!

Oh no.... I just remembered about the test today and I have to go to rugby and do the dishes ARGH! If this sounds like you, then you are really stressed out. Hi guys - today I did a workshop with Nicola.  Can you guess what it was about? If you think it was about managing stress, then you're right!  (If you think talking about our problems, then you're completely wrong . Nicola gave us a sheet with lots of ways to stop being stressed out like ; Breathe, exercise, play with nature and make time for fun . Most importantly RELAX!!

Hello everybody. Today we did overexcitebilities with Paul. Overexcitabilities is when you are react to things more extreme than others do. There are five fields of overexciteabilities they are: psychomotor,sensual,intellectual,imaginational and emotional. Psycho motor is movement, sensual is your senses, intellectual is around intelligence,imaginational is your imagination or dreams and emotional is based on your emotions. See you next time. 

Red, Black, Blue, Purple...

HEY all! It's that time of year again. No not April, it's the end of Term 1.  But on the upper side its Easter! Yay! Any whom, today at Enrich we watched a video on how to exersice your brain, and no by exersice I don't mean give your brain a set of wieghts. I mean doing some brain teasers like having some names of colours but with a different coloured ink like this.

Wuzzling puzzles

Wow this is really wuzzling. Hey guys, I'm back, sorry for no post last week but we ran out of time. Anyway back to business, today we did wuzzles and if you don't know what wuzzles are don't look in a dictonary it's a made up word and can you guess who came up with wuzzles. Nicola and it means word puzzles so now you know why I put a made up word in my blog.  Nicola most likely made it
up.  For starters Nicola gave us a warm up which was how many words can you make out of wheelbarrow (leave a comment with the words you made and the total and they have to be real words) Next Nicola gave us a sheet where we had to put shapes in alphabetical order. Once we finished that we had to do  letters in alphabetical order and I got to number six. Also in the warm up it was a competition and Charlie got 1st and Thomas and Bruno got 2.

I'm now a news reporter

This is Kyle from 12 News here reporting. I'm here with Charlie !!! Hey guys sorry for no post last week but it was crazy. Katie was off sick:( and now Nicola's sick :(:( So today it's only Katie and Paul.
Any whom, back to business. Today we did curly questions.

Im back and badder than ever

Hello everyone... Im back and badder than ever (not really). Since I've been back we have had some slight changes. Ok major changes first of all.... Darryn is gone:( and Katie took his place and we have a new teacher called Paul. Plus the cornerstones have changed to domains. Affective is now personal development, concept curriculum is now conceptual development and every thing else is the same. Anyway today we did brain boosters and Thinker's Keys and yes these are new. So for brain boosters I did tangrams with Paul. For Thinker's Key I did the Inventor's Key. We had to invent a device that helped children keep focused on work.
